Zirconia is working on a patent pending coating system for galvanized steel. Galvanization is a toxic process and the metals used are toxic, unstable, and can leach into our environment. Our coating systems are designed to seal the surface and chemically bond to create a new cleaner more stable surface that extends the life of the structure, while reducing the impact on our environment. Also, our ceramic coating can create visually appealing color options to blend power and light fixtures into the environment. Our long-term goal is to be able to replace galvanization with a more stable, chemically bonded ceramic surface, that is durable and non-toxic.
